This morning going to the temple, it was about 8:15 , the temple is just across the street. We were standing on the corner and Sue Ann took this picture. I don't know where the old guy came from, but the line of buses was maybe a quarter mile long. The inner lane is reserved for buses only and the bus stops are in the middle of the street so that buses going either way stop at the center island and people get on an off. In the morning all the buses going into town are full and all those going out are empty and then in the evening the opposite.
So for the most part we are in the urban environment. The building right behind the old guy is the complex we live in.
Out temple experience was interesting today. In the dressing rooms they don't have a locker with a closed in dressing area for each set of lockers. They have lockers in the middle of the room and then little cubicles along the wall where you change and then bring your clothes to the locker. This morning Sue Ann left her clothes in the cubicle and when she came out she went into the cubicle having found her clothes not in her locker. The cubicle was empty. They looked around and didn't see them so we were looking in lost and found etc. Ended up that the cubicle that she had changed in was the one next to the one she looked in, a sister was using it at the time. It was exciting for a minute but the other sister eventually came out and they found the clothes.
We went to do an endowment but they asked if we would do sealings and so we did. We just about finished the session when a sister came in and said that they needed a couple in for a few minutes. We went and low and behold another hour and a half doing another session, three straight hours in sealings. Back is a little tight tonight.
When talking with the elders and sisters you can feel the spirit of the work even over the telephone. They are awesome. Thanks for the support and prayers. We love you and miss you. THe association of friends and family is the only real sacrifice, but even that the Lord makes up for.
God Bless
Rick
